`Free wills month` boost for Age Cymru
NEATH law firm Jennifer Melly Law has been fundraising for a national charity for older people and raised 2,300.

During June, the company offered its clients the chance to donate the fee they paid to have their will written to Age Cymru.
It was part of Jennifer Melly Laws `free wills month`, which raised 2,300 for Age Cymru.

Says Jennifer Melly, of the company which is based at 45 Alfred Street in Neath:
"Our `free wills month` was very popular with local residents, and, with their support, we raised a fantastic 2,300 for Age Cymru.

"We are very glad to be able to have done our bit to support Wales` largest charity for older people.

"On a serious note, it's very important to make a will- it means that you are able to decide yourself what will happen to your money and your belongings when you pass away.

"If you don't make a will, your property and money may not go to the people you intended."

Age Cymru is Wales`s largest and leading charity for older people.
It provides services such as an information and advice telephone helpline for older people and their families.

Age Cymru also campaigns on issues affecting older people, such as protecting them from scams and swindles.
The charity`s Michael Phillips says:

"Age Cymru is very grateful to Jennifer Melly Law for running its `free will month` and encouraging will makers to give the fee they would normally pay to our charity.

"We want to lift as many older people as possible out of poverty and to combat loneliness and isolation amongst Welsh pensioners through our activities.

"This donation from Jennifer Melly Law and the people of Neath will provide a huge boost to our work."
